This Gin-San Sanmai series is the perfect example of the Japanese design philosophy Shibui,  a balance of simplicity and complexity. The simple elegance and austere look, create a powerful appearance. The three-layer blade with Gin-San (Silver-3) core is thin, strong, and precise; and the walnut octagonal handle provides a comfortable grip. Literally translated, Santoku means three virtues, referencing fish meat and vegetables. They perform at a high-level and are the most common Knife in Japanese households. Whether you are a home or pro chef, a Santoku makes a great “daily driver”.
