Higonokami Folding Knife – Shiroko #2 Carbon Steel

Handcrafted in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture since 1894, the Higo-no-Kami is a classic Japanese folding knife with roots in everyday use by craftsmen and carpenters. Often referred to as a gentleman’s pocket knife, it’s compact, functional, and deeply tied to Japanese knife-making tradition.

This version features a Sanmai blade forged from Shiroko #2 high-carbon steel. The edge takes on a fine, razor-sharp polish and develops a natural patina over time, which helps protect against rust. The knife uses a friction-fold mechanism with no locking system, relying on the thumb’s pressure against the chikiri lever for stability during use.

The stainless handle includes a lanyard hole for easy carry or storage.
