At Element Knife Company, we’re passionate about helping you get the most out of your kitchen tools. Classes are held in our retail store on Platte Street in the LoHi Neighborhood in Denver. We currently offer hands-on symmetrical double-bevel edge knife sharpening classes, where you’ll learn how to properly maintain and sharpen your knives for peak performance. Join Chef Elan Wenzel for a Hands-On Knife Sharpening Class!

With over 20 years of experience in Japanese cutlery, Chef Elan will guide you through the essentials of knife sharpening. Whether you're a knife enthusiast or simply need to restore a dull blade, this class offers the perfect introduction to sharpening techniques.

In this interactive class, you'll learn how to create a razor-sharp edge, maintain your knife's precision, and master the art of sharpening. Classes are held in our LoHi shop at 1701 Platte Street in Denver.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Knife anatomy and types
  • Blade geometry and bevels
  • Stone and knife care
  • Proper sharpening stance, form, and safety
  • Refining and testing your edge for sharpness

Bring your own chef’s or Santoku knife for hands-on sharpening using provided water stones. Plus, enjoy a 15% discount on any purchase during class day!

Details:

  • $95 per person
  • Classes start at 6:45PM and run for approximately 2.5 hours
  • Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes; bring an apron if needed.
