Ittetsu knives are meticulously crafted by a collective of skilled blacksmiths based in Sanjo City, Japan. They carefully follow the original designs created by the renowned master bladesmith, Tadafusa. Featuring a rustic Kurouchi finish, these knives provide an excellent entry point into the world of Japanese cutlery.
Each blade boasts a core made of White #1 High-Carbon steel, enveloped by two layers of soft steel (known as Jigane), resulting in a Sanmai blade construction. This combination ensures a durable and versatile tool suitable for various culinary tasks.
With a Rockwell Hardness rating of HRC 62, these knives strike the perfect balance between sharpness and durability.
The Japanese Octagon handle, crafted from mono walnut, provides a comfortable grip, making your kitchen tasks a breeze.
The Gyuto, often referred to as a Chef's knife, stands as the ultimate tool in a chef's arsenal, instilling confidence when handling a wide array of culinary tasks, from precision work with fish and meats to intricate vegetable preparation.
NOTE: Blade may rust if left wet, this is NOT a stainless steel.
