If you’re not familiar with Cochon555, do yourself a favor and check it out. Each year there is a North American tour consisting of culinary events, competitions, and festivals. Their mission is dedicated to supporting farmers and educating buyers about the agricultural importance of eating heritage breed pigs featuring chef displays and entertainment. It is these exact sensibilities of education and support that Element Knife Company and owner Chef Elan Wenzel feel so strongly about.

Element Knife Company Chef Elan Wenzel

Element Knife Company is excited to announce a 2019 sponsorship of Cochon555 along with Brady Lowe, founder of Cochon555. You can find Chef Elan at several of these events. He’ll be offering hand-crafted Japanese cutlery and accessories, while educating chefs and food enthusiasts about techniques and products.

We encourage you to come enjoy the events, and in turn support small family farms, ranches, and businesses to help create safer foodways. Furthermore, check out Chochon555’s Piggy Bank. Their mission is to create a heritage breed pig sanctuary that provides free genetics and business plans to emerging family farms. The sanctuary aims to better the future of our food by creating a community for safer, more enlightened farming practices through the sharing of information. The Piggy Bank Farm, located in Missouri, will be committed to the cause of agricultural transparency, offering all farmers a free online network of knowledge.
