A simple tool that makes a big difference. The Suehiro Rubber Sharpening Base is designed to keep your whetstones locked in place so you can focus on sharpening, not chasing stones around the bench.

This adjustable stand uses two stainless screws and three high-friction rubber supports to securely hold stones ranging from approximately 60mm to 210mm in length. Whether you’re working with compact stones or full-size bench stones, it adjusts quickly and clamps down firmly.

Made from dense synthetic rubber, the base grips both the stone and the work surface, reducing vibration and preventing slip. The result is a more stable sharpening setup, better control, and more consistent results, especially during longer sessions or heavier pressure work.
