“Surviving” is the new “thriving”

There is no way around it, COVID times are difficult and it just outright sucks. Staying positive is important, but let’s be honest too, it really sucks. Element knife Company is not immune to the effects that the global pandemic has caused, and more specifically, the hardships that the restaurant industry must face. Our first retail space that opened March 7th 2020 inside Broadway Market Denver was up and running for just one week. Then, the shutdowns came March 15th. The buzz around Denver on that first day was that we were facing a two week shutdown. Here we are 7 months later dealing with safer at home orders, curfews, and reduced capacity for restaurants and bars. As we head into the winter months, there is a very real possibility of more closures and restrictions as cases of the CoronaVirus rise. More and more locally owned businesses are closing. Some for good and some temporary. Broadway Market has shut its doors for the second time during this ‘bloodbath’ and plans to reopen in the Spring. We have found a temporary pop-up location inside Stanley

Marketplace until the first of the year. It’s important to us that we be available to the public and to our peers in the industry. With more people cooking at home we wish to support and educate. As restaurants are struggling, we offer industry discounts. “Surviving" is the new “thriving" at least until our world starts normalizing. After the new year, we hope to have an opportunity for a permanent home so we can continue to be a part of both our community and hospitality industry.

Local business is at the heart of every community. As we face the challenges of social distancing procedures, implement more safety measures, with decreased revenue due to restrictions, we can still support local businesses and help the local economy. Shop your local stores online, buy gift cards, tip extra, take advantage of discounts and promotions, and avoid big box chains.

Please come visit us inside Stanley Marketpalce. We continue to offer high-end cutlery, wares, sharpening services, pantry goods, clinics and more. Bring your knives to be sharpened and grab some food or drink and shop the other 50-plus other local businesses inside the market. We have plenty of convenient parking, lots of space for social distancing, and hand sanitizing stations. We truly look forward to seeing you.
