Forged in Sanjo by a small collective of blacksmiths, the Ittetsu Tall Nakiri is a serious vegetable knife with a grounded, workhorse feel. The tall blade gives you generous knuckle clearance and a wide face for guiding cuts or scooping ingredients off the board.

White #1 carbon steel takes a screaming sharp edge with minimal effort and rewards attentive users with excellent feedback on the board. The kurouchi finish is left intentionally raw, reducing drag and lending a traditional, no-nonsense look that ages beautifully with use.

The nakiri’s flat profile excels at push cutting, chopping, and precise vegetable prep, making it a favorite for home cooks and pros who spend a lot of time breaking down produce. Finished with a mono walnut octagonal handle, it balances comfortably in hand without feeling precious.

Note: This knife is not stainless steel. To prevent rusting, be sure to dry the blade thoroughly and avoid exposure to acidic liquids.
