Our Kikuichi Sakimaru Takohiki has a beautiful Damascus pattern, Japanese Rosewood, Ebony, & Silver Inlay, with a matching Ebony Saya cover. This knife is a variation of a Takohiki and in turn a variant of a Yanagi. Maru means round in Japanese, in reference to its rounded tip. Its long slender blade and single-bevel make for cutting sushi, sashimi and rolls effortless. The Kasumiyaki blade construction & beautiful wavy pattern is developed by Kikuichi master blade-smiths using traditional forge welding method.
Note: This knife is not stainless steel. To prevent rusting, be sure to dry the blade thoroughly and avoid exposure to acidic liquids.
