Kikuichi’s VG-1 Stainless series is one of their longest standing Western style blades. Light and comfortable, once you pick one up, you won’t want to put it down. Hand forged in the technique of Warikomi, the core is VG-1, sometimes called V-Gold, with a cladding of SUS405. The full tang handle made from Mahogany Pakka Wood is comfortable, durable and heat resistant. A petty Knife is a basic utility knife, slightly larger than a pairing knife. Typically petty and utility knives are used on a cutting board as opposed to a paring knife which does better when operated in your hand. They are great for intricate, delicate and light work.
