Remember to keep patient and don’t allow yourself to become discouraged. Knife sharpening by hand is a technical skill that requires patience and consistent effort to master.

How often should I sharpen my knife?

The frequency of sharpening depends on how often you use your knife and the types of tasks it performs. Regular honing will help maintain the edge between sharpening sessions. You can choose to sharpen more frequently, which reduces the effort needed in each session, or sharpen less often, which might require a more involved process to reestablish the bevel and restore the blade's sharpness.
